2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies store small items of information in your browser. Local storage, identifiers and pixels transmitting interaction information can serve similar functions. This notice covers those technologies regardless of their name. A request without a cookie can still transmit personal data such as an IP address; “cookieless” does not by itself remove the need for consent.
First-party cookies relate to this website's domain; third-party cookies relate to a supplier's domain. First-party cookies can also transmit information to third parties. Hosting processes technical requests necessary to deliver the page, which does not automatically constitute analytics or advertising tracking.
3. Your choices
- Necessary: remembering choices and functions strictly needed for a service you request. The statutory consent exemption applies to that storage, not to advertising use.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4: statistics about visits, sources and page use, enabled only with analytics consent. This alone does not permit advertising audiences or email matching.
- Personalised advertising — Google: Google Ads, evaluation of that advertising, remarketing and, where applicable, Customer Match using an email demonstrably linked to this advertising consent.
- Personalised advertising — Meta: Facebook and Instagram advertising, Meta Pixel, evaluation of that advertising, remarketing and, where applicable, customer-list Custom Audiences with an appropriately authorised email.
Optional choices are off by default. Optional analytics and advertising technologies do not run before the relevant consent or after rejection. Rejection does not prevent browsing, viewing prices or opening GYMIFY. Scrolling, continued use or closing the banner is not consent. “Accept all” covers the optional purposes described, not future newsletters or undisclosed processing.
We seek consent under section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll.; GDPR Article 6(1)(a) applies in particular to related personal-data processing. Necessary processing has a separate appropriate basis explained in the Privacy Notice.

5. Different periods
A cookie's lifetime on a device differs from server event retention and advertising-audience membership. GA4 user- and event-level retention is specified as 2 months, subject to Google's deletion cycle; this does not apply to every aggregated report. Website remarketing audiences are limited to 30 days from the last authorised interaction and contact audiences to 6 months from advertising consent or active renewal, ending earlier on withdrawal. Platforms' own processing also follows their policies and legal obligations.
6. Advertising email audiences
The advertising choice can include securely supplying and matching your email with Google and Meta accounts through Google Customer Match and Meta Customer List Custom Audiences to create audiences and display personalised APEX adverts, primarily in Slovakia, Dunajská Streda and its surroundings. Emails are normally hashed before transfer; they remain personal data.
Matching has no additional separate approval. Advertising consent must nevertheless clearly cover the process and be demonstrably linked to the specific email. An anonymous visitor's choice does not authorise use of the entire membership database. Without that link, we do not upload the address. Analytics consent or agreement to contractual terms is insufficient, and newsletters are excluded.
7. Changes and withdrawal
Open Cookie settings in the footer at any time to change choices or reject optional purposes. Withdrawal should be as easy as consent. Relevant further tracking stops, and accessible first-party optional cookies are removed where possible. Third-party-domain cookies can be deleted through your browser; our settings do not change every independent Google or Meta account setting.
Where the advertising choice is linked to your contact, withdrawal also covers the relevant email audience without another step. If the current browser does not identify your contact, use the relevant customer setting, where available, or email club.apex.fitness@gmail.com. A choice in another browser may not identify the contact to remove. Following identified withdrawal, we arrange removal from relevant advertising lists we manage and prevent reimport. Deleting a cookie alone does not delete an email already uploaded.
We remember the browser choice for 6 months. Expiry or a material change of purpose requires a new choice; optional functions remain off without valid consent. Deleting cookies or using another browser can display the banner again. Minimal consent evidence may be kept to demonstrate lawfulness, without further targeting.
8. External links and rights
Links to GYMIFY, Instagram, maps and app stores open separate services with their own rules. A link is different from automatically loaded embedded content. If third-party content requiring consent is added, it loads only after the relevant choice.
Our Privacy Notice explains recipients, possible transfers outside the EEA including the USA, profiling and rights to access, erasure, objection and complaints. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. We update this notice when technologies change; new wording does not replace consent.
